Tawfiq Layeq​

​Founder & Lead Photographer / Videographer
Mohammad Tawfiq Layeq is an award-winning filmmaker and creative director known for his cinematic approach to storytelling. He was honored with the Best Drama Film Award (2022) at the Texas Short Film Festival and received the Best Male Actor Award (2021) in Afghanistan.
He earned his Bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts from the Cinema Department at Kabul University, where he developed a strong foundation in directing, acting, and visual storytelling. He later worked as a Director and Assistant Director on television and web series such as Sola and Seyal, gaining valuable experience in professional production.
After moving to the United States, he began building his career from the ground up. One day, he received a phone call asking if he could film a concert. Without hesitation, he accepted the opportunity. That single project became a turning point — opening the door to weddings, events, and a growing number of creative productions.
Since then, he has created multiple short films and developed a strong portfolio of visual work, combining storytelling with cinematic techniques. Today, he leads Layeq Studios with a commitment to delivering high-quality photography and cinematic wedding films, capturing meaningful moments with creativity, precision, and passion.
